  • Is the tank leaking? β†’ Pooling or rust = potential replacement needed.

  • What tariff are you on? β†’ Off-peak supply may heat overnight.

🚽 BLOCKAGES

  • Is it isolated to one room? β†’ Local blockage = manage by not using fixture.
  • Gurgling sounds? β†’ May indicate early blockage. Try plunging + boiling water & vinegar.
  • Overflowing drains? β†’ Likely main line blockage. Call us.
  • Attempted plunging? β†’ If no improvement, call us. Use liquid Draino only if needed.

  • Can you see the leak?
    • Try to identify source (pipe, tap, roof, etc).
  • Can you shut off the water meter?
    • Call us for phone guidance if unsure.
  • Is it hot or cold water?
    • Hot = turn off hot water unit to keep cold water running.
  • Contain the leak
    • Use buckets/towels to limit damage and call us ASAP.

  • Can you isolate it?
    • Turn off gas at meter/bottle if safe.
  • When did you notice it?

  • Natural gas or LPG?
    • Look for meter or bottle to confirm.

    • Ventilate and call us immediately.

  • Does it only leak when raining? β†’ Possibly roof-related.
  • Spike in water bill? β†’ Could indicate underground leak – we use high-tech tools.

🚿 HOT WATER – BASIC CHECKS

Gas or power active?

Reset breakers/check meter or bottles.

Big gas storage tank?

Pilot light may need relighting (see instructions which will be on the front cover panel. Behind the panel is a step-by-step guide. If you have tried several times, then call us).

Instant unit?

Try full reset using manufacturer steps.

  1. Turn of power and pull lead off
  2. Turn water valve off at the unit (usually green or blue in colour)
  3. Turn any hot tap inside property on (yes, no water will come out as we will be controlling it from the unit.
  4. Turn off Gas (Yellow colour)
  5. Wait for a minute.
  6. Turn Gas valve on
  7. Plug lead into power point and turn on.
  8. Turn water valve on
  9. The unit should reset and work
  10. Check taps inside if it’s hot.
  11. If no, then repeat these steps again.
  12. If still no luck, please call us.
